Obituary

Wayne Lawrence Sullivan, 57, of Franklin died June 20 in Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket following a brief illness. He was the husband of Mary (Gandolfo) Sullivan.

Born in Boston, February 4, 1960, the son of the late Alfred J. and Anna E. (O’Shea) Sullivan, Mr. Sullivan was raised in Roslindale and had lived in Franklin for the past 11 years.

A Master Electrician, Mr. Sullivan worked at New England Deaconess-Beth Israel Hospital in Boston for the past 30 years. He was lead electrician at the time of his death.

Wayne loved antique cars. He owned and was always working on his 1929 Ford.
Wayne also enjoyed making model cars and was a World War II and history enthusiast.

Wayne was known as the “fun grandpa”.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, April Sullivan of Bellingham, Wayne Sullivan, Jr. of Boston, Eric Sullivan of Franklin and his step- children, Colleen Smith of Nashua, N.H., Jessica Yarosh of Canton, Jeanne Ross of Chepachet, R.I., John Murphy of Rensselaer, N.Y. and Rosemary Murphy of Boston.

He is also survived by his siblings, Elaine Barnes of Arizona, James Cook of Middleboro and Joseph Sullivan of Roslindale.

He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren.

His funeral will be held on Monday, June 26 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00.

Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4-8 p.m.
