Elci ( Dias) Freitas, age 84 of Taunton, passed away on June 21, 2017 at Life Care Center of Raynham with her loving family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of Alvaro M. Freitas.
Elci was born in Terceira, Azores, a daughter of the late Joaquim and Francisca (Amelia) Dias
Mrs. Freitas was employed for over 20 years with Texas Instruments retiring in 1995. She was an active member of Ward 5 Holy Ghost Society. Elci was a loving and caring person who was devoted to her family.
Besides her beloved husband Alvaro of over 63 years she is survived by her children, Alvaro J. Freitas and wife Maria, Manuel H. Freitas, Jorge A. Freitas and wife Anna, Lucia Borba and husband Joao all of Taunton and Jose Freitas of Swansea. She was the grandmother of 5, great grandmother of 1. She was also the sister of the late Jose Cardoso, Joaquim Cardoso, Maria Silva and the late Isabel Almeida.
Elci’s funeral will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 9 am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square), Taunton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Anthony Church School St., Taunton.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 25th from 4 to 7pm in the Silva Funeral Home.
