FALL RIVER – George T. Botelho, age 82 of Fall River, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Jean (Tavares) Botelho and the son of the late Antone R. & Mary Pimental Botelho. Prior to retiring, George worked as a carpenter & millwright. He was a US Army Veteran and retired from the US Army National Guard.
Besides his wife of Fall River, he is survived by his children: Donna Botelho of Illinois, George T. Botelho Jr. of Swansea, Thomas Botelho of Somerset, Steven Botelho of Swansea, the late Leslie Crowell, and his stepson Scott Ferreira of Swansea and the late Keith Ferreira; siblings: Elaine Medeiros of Fall River, Larry Botelho of Maine, Tony Botelho of Somerset, & the late Raymond Botelho; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews.
His funeral service will take place in the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Friday at 8:00 A.M. interment w/ Military Honors in MA National Cemetery at 10:30 A.M. Calling hours on Thursday 4-7 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
