Richard Sarno of Somerville died on Friday, June 16, at Brigham and Women's Hospital of Boston. A lifelong Somerville resident, he was the son of the late Carmine and Mary (Mercurio) Sarno.
Richard was the beloved husband of Sylvia (Capasso) Sarno, and the devoted father of Philip Sarno of Somerville and Kerrie Raso of Stoneham. He was the loving grandfather of Nicole and Gregory Raso, and Madison Sarno. Richard was the brother of Carmine R. Sarno and his wife Jill of Bedford, NH, Albino Sacco and her husband Tom of Plymouth, Raymond Sarno and his companion Diane Ledwell of Hull, and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and his beloved dog Brady.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Tuesday, June 20, at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours Monday, June 19, from 4 through 8 PM.
