Shirley Jean (Landry) Wilkinson, 73, of East Bridgewater passed away on Thursday June 15th surrounded by her loving family at home. She was the beloved wife of John F. Wilkinson.
She was born in Brockton, daughter of the late Arthur W. Landry and the late H. Louise Taylor.
Shirley grew up as a child in Brockton and then she moved to Whitman and was a graduate of Whitman-Hanson, Class of 1961.
She worked in the Payroll department at the Whitman Plating Company for over 10 years and also was a Sub Coordinator for South Shore Vo Tech High School in Hanover. Shirley and her husband John were childhood sweethearts and would have been married for 56 years this fall. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Shirley is at peace now with her parents and her 10 other siblings.
In addition to her husband John, she is survived by her daughters Shirlee-Jean Adams and her husband Brian of West Wareham and Sharon Cox and her husband Johnny of Newport, NC, her siblings Carole Whitman of Halifax, Scott Taylor of Brockton and Lynn O’Brien of Bridgewater. Loving “Mee Mee” to Raymond Lozeau III, Ashlee Rodrigues, Tiana Purdy and Taylor Brown, great great “Mee Mee” to Harper and Killian Purdy and Lucas Rodrigues.
Her funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 20th at 11:00AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St (Rte 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, East Bridgewater. Visitation will be held on Monday June 19th from 4:00-8:00
