Linda M. (Silva) Almeida, 65, of Westport, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 following a long illness. She was the wife of Thomas M. Almeida.
Mrs. Almeida was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Lionel P. and Doris R. (Isabelle) Silva and had been a longtime resident of Westport. She was a very active volunteer for the Durfee High School Band-Aides, Fall River.
Survivors along with her husband include her 2 daughters: Lisa M. Lavoie and her husband Roland of Westport and Donna Almeida of Daytona, FL; 2 brothers: James G. Silva of Portsmouth, RI and Robert J. Silva of Coventry, RI; 3 grandchildren: Sierra Lavoie, Isaak & Andrew; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the Potter Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M.
Memorial visitation will be from 1-2 P.M. on Sunday, prior to the service.
Interment will be private.
