Obituary

Patricia “Pat” Margaret Biletzke, 80, beloved wife of the late Robert “Bob” Biletzke, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 14, 2017.

Pat was born in Staten Island, N.Y. to Charles and Anna (Zorn) Otto. She married Bob on April 11, 1958, in Staten Island and relocated to Mystic in 1962.

Although Pat worked at Decodex for many years, she was fondly known as the “lunch lady” at Cutler Middle School. In her early years, she was a Cub Scout den mother and a booster club member of the Hap Dong Judo Club. Pat was an avid UConn women’s basketball fan and loved to bowl, as she was a member of many bowling leagues. She also loved bingo and enjoyed visiting the casinos.

The Biletzke household always held an open door where everyone was welcome. Pat was loved by many, and loved everyone, her grandchildren especially. She was always there for every event and shared an immense amount of pride for her family’s accomplishments.

Pat is survived by her sister, Barbara Strofield of Staten Island, N.Y.; her four children, Robin Heard of Norwich, Pauline Gaucher and her husband, Bob, of Gales Ferry, William “Bill” Biletzke of Mystic, Laurie Maciag and her husband, Richard, of Gales Ferry, and honorary daughter, Lee Ann Nardiello and her husband, Glen, of Staten Island and their daughter Isabella; her grandchildren, Christian, Tanner, Katie, Danielle, Haley, Emily, Zach, Rachel, Nicole; and great-grandson, Kellan.

Besides her husband and parents, Pat was predeceased by her five sisters and four brothers.

A special thank you to the exceptional staff of nurses, techs, and doctors on 5.2 and 5.4 at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital. We would also like to thank Groton Regency, and especially Dr. Jay Hennessey, for many years of excellent care.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 19, at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl St., Mystic. A funeral home service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, with burial immediately following in Lambtown Cemetery, Ledyard.
