Obituary

Bula Faye Bell, age 79, passed away at her home in Water Valley, MS on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. She was born in Taylor, MS to the late Gurvis Wilder McCain and Venera Cooper McCain and married “Boots” Bell. Together, they became entrepreneurs, owning several businesses including the Coffeeville Package Store among other businesses. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafting, traveling, and had several birds and animals for pets. She was a member of Sand Hill Methodist Church in Water Valley, MS.

Visitation is planned for Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 12 Noon until 2 PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Virgil Nelson and Bro. Raymond Aven officiating. Burial will be in Pine Crest Memorial Gardens with Kevin Wilbourn, Michael Scroggins, Craig Goodwin, J P Nelson, Harry Womble, and Michael Womble serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Melton, Ronald Ray, David Pope, Chase Hughes, Christian Melton and Alex Bell.

Bula is survived by 3 daughters, Brenda Bell and Linda Bell, both of Water Valley, MS, and Nell (Ronald) Ray of Grenada, MS; one son, Earl (Mary) Bell of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Alice Williams of Paris, MS; and one brother, Billy Joe McCain of Coffeeville, MS; ten grandchildren, Marilyn Anderson, Jewel Wilbourn, Rhonda Hughes, Michael Koufonikos, Sarah Koufonikos, Sharon Ray, Celina Ray, Summer Ray, Ashlen Bell and Alex Bell; and four great grandchildren Destiny Hughes, Chase Hughes, Christian Melton and Elizabeth Wilbourn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jewel “Boots” Bell; a sister, Johnnie White; and one brother, Thomas McCain.
