Obituary

Martinez, GA---Angela Josette Hill Fournier (Angie) of Martinez, GA died on June 12, 2017.

She was born in Greenwood SC on June 19, 1968 to loving parents Joe and Midge Hill. In addition to her parents she is survived by a daughter Diana Crook (Charles), a son Luke Fournier, and 3 grandchildren Jaden, Layla, and Hannah. She is also survived by a brother Jed Hill (Tanya) and maternal grandmother Evelina O’Dell.

Angie was a school psychologist for Richmond County School District, Augusta, GA. She loved children and was a formidable advocate for the children she served. She loved her children and grandchildren boundlessly and was always there to help and support them. She loved animals and could never turn a stray away. She enjoyed working in the yard, flowers, and painting. She loved the ocean and could find a shark’s tooth faster than anyone. One of her favorite pastimes was singing karaoke. She was a jack of all trades who would tackle any projects around the house that most men would ignore. She battled life’s challenges with grace and dignity and kept moving forward each day. Angie was a rare pearl, a kind and gentle soul, beautiful inside and out. She could on occasion exhibit a fiery passion for what she believed in but was always quick to forgive. She loved the Lord and found her unique ways to praise and worship him whether in her garden, at the beach, or playing with the grandkids. God’s love beamed from her. She is sorely missed, but will forever be with us in our hearts and memories when we smell a flower, hear the ocean’s waves and watch children play and giggle.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:30 PM on Thursday June 15, 2017 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Road. A graveside service for the family will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
