Obituary

Dorothy “Dottie” Ann Grover, 67, of Londonderry, NH died on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at home. Dottie was born on April 4, 1950 in Alameda, California and is preceded in death by her parents, Roland C. Mason, Jr. and Audrey Louise (Hunt) Provencher. She grew up in Chester, NH and was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy (‘67). She moved to Londonderry in 1975. Over the forty-two years she lived in the house on Old Mammoth Road, she filled her home with annual Christmas parties, her collections, and many memories.

Dottie was well known around town for her PTA activism, her service on the School Board, and her work as Director of Cable Services at the Londonderry Access Center, a position she held for 24 years before retiring in 2012. She was also well known for her love of hugs and all things purple.

Dottie is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Grover Hastings and her son-in-law Ian Hastings of Windham, NH; her granddaughter Alia (who loves her Grammie sooo much); her sister, Joan Mason of East Kingston, NH; her sister, Debbi Palmer of Peabody, MA; her niece, Audrey Palmer and children Travis and Summer, all of Peabody, MA; as well as additional family, friends, and companions of her journey through life. She also leaves behind two cats, Sugar and Spice, and her beloved puppy, Peanut.

Following cremation, calling hours were held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 5 – 7 pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A memorial service followed at 6:30 pm in the funeral home. A Celebration of Life memorial was held on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 between 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Londonderry Senior Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire or the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
