Maureen E. Egan, 83 died peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at the Lutheran Rehab and Skilled Care Center, Worcester. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of James and Mary E. (Grady) Egan, who immigrated here from Ireland.

Maureen attended local schools, graduating from St. Peter’s High School and Anna Maria College, and later earned her Master’s Degree in music from the New England Conservatory, Boston. She played the organ for many years at St. Bernard’s Parish in Fitchburg, St. Andrew the Apostle Parish and Saint Pius Parish in Leicester. She was a wonderfully humble person with endless curiosity who took many pleasures in the simple things that pass most of us by on a daily basis.

Maureen will be lovingly missed by her sister, Joan M. Cormier and her husband, Francis of Leicester; her several nieces, nephews grand nieces and grand nephews as well as her many friends. She was predeceased by her three sisters, Betty Wilber, Sr. Helen Egan, SSJ and Anne M. Egan.
