Funeral services for Nettie Rose Ward Hardy, 83, of Sycamore, GA will be held Thursday, June 15 at 11:00 AM, in The Inaha Baptist Church. Mrs. Hardy passed away in Tifton on Monday, June 12 following an extended illness. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The daughter of the late, Jimmie Lee and Lemma Farmer Ward, she was born in Ashburn and was a homemaker. She was the widow of Hugh Mallory Hardy. She was also proceded in death by a sister, Aletha Tyler and a brother Carl Ward. Mrs. Hardy enjoyed sewing and reading magazines and books. She was a member of The Inaha Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Melanie Hardy of Tifton; Dana (Freddie) Cheek of Sycamore; Hugh Allan (Audrey) Hardy, SR of Sylvester and Jimmy D. Hardy of Sycamore. Mrs. Hardy is also survived by her grandchildren, Hugh Allen Hardy, JR, Heather Ruth Hill, Heath Ivey Hardy, Lee Massey, Justin Dean Hardy, Jay Mallory Hardy, DeAnna Lynn Sauer, Daniel Doyle (Kaitlyn) Cheek and David Lee Cheek. She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Mrs. Hardy also is survived by her sisters, Eudora Farmer of Covington; Thurles Dukes of Ashburn; Jimmie Lou Waller of Sycamore; Diane DeLoach of Eatonton and Kaye Williford of Amboy.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 until the hour of services at Inaha Baptist Church.
