Obituary

Kenneth W. Lavers, Jr., 68, of Manchester, NH passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at the Elliot Hospital, Manchester. He was born on December 30, 1948 in Quincy, MA, son of the late Irene and Kenneth W. Lavers, Sr. and grew up in Houghs Neck. He was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1967. Kenneth proudly served his country in the US Army in Vietnam. He enjoyed traveling, photography, and camping with his family. He also loved boats, trains and all things Disney, especially Minnie Mouse. He will be remembered as the family’s armchair meteorologist, always calling and texting with a weather report or advisory.

He is survived by his wife Valerie (King) Lavers of Manchester, a son, Michael K. Lavers and his partner Andres Doernberg of Washington, D.C., a daughter, Rebecca Kelliher and her husband Patrick of Deerfield, NH, a grandson, Liam, and a sister, Mary Ann Schroeder of Lakewood Ranch, FL, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours were held Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 4 – 6 pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. A memorial service followed at 6:00pm in the funeral home.
