Obituary

Mark I. Carter, 61, of Berlin, NH, passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of Thursday June 8th, 2017 at home with his wife, Suzanne. Mark was born in Augusta, GA on July 3rd, 1955, and was the son of John and Biruta (Birznieks) Carter. Mark moved to Canada when he was 12 years old. He lived in Toronto, Ontario for many years with his family before moving to Berlin in 1991. Mark had been employed by Berlin City Dealerships for many years, along with Profile Motors in Conway. Mark loved to fish, play cribbage and spending time with his wife, Sue, sons James and Matt, cherished granddaughter, Morgan, his late dog, Blaster, and his new buddy, Killian. He loved playing football throughout his youth, in high school and then for the Toronto Jets.

Family includes his wife of 41 years, Suzanne (Penny) Carter of Berlin; sons James and Matthew and their longtime girlfriends Kyanna Lefebvre and Kirstin Goulet, all of Berlin, NH; granddaughter Morgan Carter; step granddaughter Hailey Goulet; brother Tom Gailitis of North Troy, VT and lifetime best friends Robert Pattison, Ted “Tedder” Pattison, Dave Earnshaw, Mike Wells, Michael Fitzgibbon all of Ontario Canada.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday June 17, 2017 at 2 PM at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Berlin. There will be no calling hours per Mark’s wishes. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bryant Funeral Homes, Berlin & Gorham, NH.
