Obituary

NATICK: Earl G, Emily, age 90, a kind and friendly longtime Natick resident, died peacefully on Saturday, June 4, 2017, at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Arthur and Louise (Greenidge) Emily. Earl was raised in Newton Centre and was a graduate of Newton High School. He entered the Army and served three years, stateside and in Germany with the Army of Occupation, and held the rank of corporal.

Earl married in 1955 and settled in Natick. He was employed with ITT Continental Bakeries, the makers of Wonder Bread and other goods, as the supervisor of the company’s distribution center. He retired after 35 years. Earl had always enjoyed working on cars and after his retirement he was often either rebuilding a car or working on one for a friend or neighbor.

Earl is survived by his daughter, Deborah McDermott and her husband Robert of Manchester, England; his son, Stephen Renick and his wife Kimberley of Homestead, FL; and six grandchildren, Christina McDermott-McGarrigle, Daniel McDermott, Charlotte McDermott, David Renick, Kevin Renick, and Katherine Renick.

A Service of Remembrance will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Saturday, June 17th at 12:30PM. Relatives and friends are welcome to visit with the family prior to the service beginning at 11:00AM.
