Robert Lasseter, 55, of Omega passed away Monday, June 12, 2017, at his residence. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Lasseter at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Omega Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. Family members will give eulogies. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 15, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Troy Moore, Billy Wayne Franklin Jr., Justin Carter, Nicky Wiley, Austin Wilson and Will Franklin will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Stephen Griffin, Felton Norman and Dustin Green.
Born July 9, 1961 in Oklahoma, Mr. Lasseter was the son of the late, Hayward Wesley Lasseter, Jr. and Bobbie June Warren. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Frasier and Melvin Frasier; and his grandparents, Hayward Wesley Lasseter, Sr. and Evie Lasseter and Robert Brutus Warren and Vada Warren. He was employed in the Public Works Department with the City of Omega.
Mr. Lasseter is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Justin and Elizabeth Lasseter of Texas and Darren and Kim Lasseter of Washington State; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Tammy and Felton Norman of Omega and Hope and Scotty Lowery of Mississippi; one granddaughter, Layla Lasseter; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
