Paula Gagnon, 72, of Errol passed away at her home on Friday June 9, 2017. She was born in Portland, Maine on May 21, 1945 the daughter of Paul and Iola (Sweatt) Sausville. Paula grew up in Errol, attending the Errol Schools and graduating from Berlin High School. She attended New Hampshire Hospital School of Nursing graduating in 1966. She served in the United States Army Nurses Corps being honorably discharged in 1970. She worked as a nurse for many years, including working in Houston Texas at the Houston Medical Center and working on the team of Dr. Padaki who was a pioneer in heart surgery. She returned to New Hampshire working for several facilities throughout Coos County, most recently AVH Home Health & Hospice Services, prior to her retirement. Paula had a passion for nursing and also enjoyed camping with her late husband and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Paula is survived by many cousins and friends too numerous to list. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband Roland Gagnon.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday June 13, 2017 at 1 PM the Errol Congregational Church with interment to follow in Errol Village Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Donations in Paula’s memory may be made to the Errol Rescue Squad, PO Box 64, Errol, NH 03579. Arrangements are entrusted to the Bryant Funeral Homes, Berlin and Gorham, NH.
