Kathryn Salter King, 93, of Bowdon, Georgia, died Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 3 PM, Sunday, June 11, 2017, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Rev. John McComas officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:30 on Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
Mrs. King was born February 19, 1924, in Whigham, Georgia, to the late Lawson Lafayette & Mary Ellen Boyett Salter. She worked as a senior contract administrator for the United States Coast Guard in Miami, Florida.
She is survived by her two children: Donna Kay King Moller & her husband Jack and David Larry King, Sr. & his wife Laura; five grandchildren: David Larry King, Jr. & his wife Elizabeth, Kathryn Janelle Moller Wright & her husband Michael, Sarah Marie King Sprayberry & her husband Ty, Steven Lawson King & his wife Hailey, and Travis Martin King & his wife Elyse; ten great-grandchildren: Katie Elizabeth King, Chloe Xiyao King, Alyssa Salter Wright, Julia Inez Wright, Wyatt David Wright, Mason William King, William Pete Sprayberry, Sawyer Lawson King, Adalynn Blake King, and Audrey Claire Sprayberry; and her sister, Mildred Salter Miller. Many nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Henry King, Jr.; and two sons, Steven Allen King and Phillip Ronald King.
