Young, Azro L.
95, of Louisville passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017.
Azro was a native of Columbia, KY. a U.S. Army veteran of WWII 92nd Evacuation Hospital Unit & a member of Harvest Baptist Church. He was a retiree of Shamrock Construction Co. & Churchill Downs
He is preceded in death by his parents, James & Mattie Young; his devoted wife of 54 years, Edna Young; three sisters, Estelline, Ellery & Ellis; two brothers, Holland & Osborne; a grandson James Combest Young Jr who served in Desert Storm.
Survivors include, two sons, James C. Young (Peggy) & Todd Young (Sharon);a daughter, Deborah Pait (H. Ray); five grandchildren & five great granddaughters.
The family would like to thank the staff at Elmcroft - Mt Washington for their loving care.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Sunday 2:00 – 7:00 P.M.
