Laconia-----Michael J. Provencal 68, of County Drive went home to be with the lord and his parents, Wednesday, June 7, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Michael was born December 13, 1948 in Laconia, NH son to the late Dolores (Brunnelle) and Frances Provencal. He is a lifelong resident of Laconia. He graduated from Laconia High School in 1967 where he was in track and basketball.
Michael Worked for the Belknap County Nursing Home for over 30 years and was also part time at the IGA as a bagger and stock Clerk, which is now known as Vista. He married the love of his life, Suzette "Sue" Lovett on April 8, 1972. He was also a long time parishioner of Saint Joseph Parish in Belmont for many years. Michael was a communicant and often greeted folks before mass.
Michael enjoyed watching sports and above all spending time with his friends and family.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Suzette Provencal of Laconia; his daughter Ann Marie Petell and her husband Eric of Laconia; two grandchildren, Brittany and Caleb Petell who he was very proud of, two brothers, William Provencal and his wife, Linda of Pittsfield and Richard Provencal and his partner Betty of Laconia and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by a sister-in-law, Patricia Provencal, niece Sharon Provencal , a brother-in-law, Robert Cameron and a nephew, Frankie Lovett III.
Calling hours will be held Monday, June 19, 2017 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home 164, Pleasant Laconia, NH using the Carriage House entrance.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 11:00am at Saint Joseph Parish 96 Main Street, Belmont, NH.
Burial will be Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 10:00am in the family lot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia, NH.
