Altieri, John L., 77, was called home June 7, 2017 with family by his side.
He was born to Pascal C. and Rita L. (Fahsauer) August 8, 1939 in New Albany, IN.
John was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
John was a Conductor for Norfolk-Southern Railroad where he retired in 2001, after many years of service. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, and KY State Manager of the Holiday Rambler RV Club.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 43 years, Sharon (Sias) Altieri; his children: Cindy Vincent (Dennis), Leah Graves, Anna Dowell (Andy), Donna Smith (Chris), and Ann Vanover (Ernie); 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Joe Altieri (Mary); and three sisters: Rita Brown (Dale), Mary “Ginger” Altieri, and Pat “Patsy” Chatfield (Tim).
A Funeral Mass will be Saturday at 10:30 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church 6901 Dixie Hwy. Burial is in St. Andrews Cemetery. Visitation is Friday 1:00-8:00 PM at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy.
