Mary V. Baiorunos, formerly of Quincy MA, passed away peacefully on June 5th 2017. She spent 101 years and 8 months on earth, and felt the love of God and family every day of her life.
Beloved wife of 46 years to the late John E. Baiorunos; Loving mother of Barry J. Baiorunos, John R. Baronas and the late Marilyn Baiorunos; Cherished grandmother of Rachael Tallerico, Renee and Jon Baiorunos, James and Merry Baronas and Julie Morgan; Great grandmother of 10; Dear sister to the late Alice Kenney, Dick Dobbyn, Ethel Twomey and Jack and Phillip Dobbyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Mae Dobbyn.
Mary was a devote parishioner of St Ann’s Parish in Wollaston, MA. At the request of Monsignor Leach, she volunteered to teach 5th grade at the parish school. She was one of the first registered dental hygienists in the world, graduating from Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene in 1934. She inspired both of her sons to become dentists. With compassion and skill she provided her patients excellent dental care while working in the offices of Dr Paul Rathburn, Dr Howard Paul and Dr Vincent Trossello.
Mary will be buried at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton MA on Monday, 12 June at 11:00 AM. A brief graveside service will be held for friends and family who wish to attend.
