Virginia B. Ramsey Harper, 75, of Largo, Florida passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, Jun 11, 2017, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Dr. Danny Ray officiating. Mrs. Harper will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 10, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born March 18, 1942 in Bessemer, Alabama, Mrs. Harper was the daughter of the late Ollie Blankenship and Ruby Lee Sanders Bridges. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Leonard James Ramsey, III; and on son, Leonard James Ramsey, IV. She was a homemaker and of the Church of God Pentecostal faith.
Mrs. Harper is survived by her husband, George Gordon Harper of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida; three daughters and one son-in-law, Mary Ann Ramsey Moore and Dave Moore of Summerville, South Carolina, Mattie Ramsey Spencer of Largo, Florida and Connie Ramsey Outlaw of Zephyrhills, Florida; two brothers, Ollie Franklin Ramsey of Zephyrhills, Florida and George Lewis Harper of Muscogee, Oklahoma; twenty grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
