Obituary

Mr. James William Miner, 76, of Methuen, MA, passed away June 2, 2017, at Manchester Veterans Hospital. James is the son of the late William and Pauline Miner.

James was a proud veteran of the Marine Corps and was enlisted during the Vietnam era. He retired from Gillette after 28 years of employment. James was an avid fly fisherman and could be found with a rod in his hand ready to go fishing at various rivers and streams. He enjoyed betting and watching horse racing at the Rockingham Park. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

James is survived by his loving wife, Gloria J. (Hamel) Miner, his son Mark Miner, son Michael Miner, daughter Monnie Miner, stepsons Ronald and Thomas Desjardins, brother William and wife Barbara Miner, brother Raymond and wife Ann Miner, granddaughter Rachael Heaney along with several nieces and nephews.

James was predeceased by his sister Joanne Nicoll.

His Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Monday, June 5, 2017, at 7 PM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be on Monday, June 5, 2017, from 4 to 7 PM.
