Claire Soulant Landis, 90, of Sycamore passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
She was born on July 17, 1926 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Soulant in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic Faith. Mr. Landis was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Diane (Allen) Saylor of Sycamore, Marilyn Williams of Jesup, Erik (Phyllis) Landis of Ashburn, Lance Landis of Ashburn, Rosalind Gardner of Pineview and Patricia (Randall) Boggs of Jacksonville, Florida; 3 sisters; twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Donald R. Overturf, a son, Robert D. Landis, one brother, four sisters and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel with private interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the funeral home.
