Jane Berg, age 59, of Weymouth passed away after a long illness on May 24, 2017. Jane was born, raised, and educated in Milton. Immediately after graduating high school she got licensed as an LPN and worked in many facets of healthcare including hospitals, elderly care, and her favorite which was working with the developmentally disabled. Jane wanted to follow in the footsteps of her father and diligently worked to become the 1st Female Firefighter in Weymouth in 1984. Jane loved antiques and had a very good eye at flea markets and yard sales. She also enjoyed the Red Sox and her dogs.
Jane is survived by her beloved sister Jeanne Berg and her husband Thomas Ford of Weymouth, and many loving friends and neighbors.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the memorial service in honor of Jane on June 24, 2017 at 10am in the Pilgrim Congregational Church located at 24 Athens St. N. Weymouth, MA 02191. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation of New England at 300 Rosewood Dr. Danvers, MA 01923.
