Carolyn Jones age 79, of Lilburn, GA, passed away Monday, May 29, 2017. Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Ronnie Jones; daughter, Ronda Floyd; son, Lanier Jones, Jr; 4 grandchildren, Luke Floyd, Taylor Jones, R.J. Jones and Cassie and Carson Newman; great grandson, Micah Floyd; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Jones was born and raised in Fitzgerald, GA. She retired from the IRS after 18 years of service. Mrs. Jones was a longtime member of 40 years of Mt. Park Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending her spare time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Carolyn Jones will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 6:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 1, 2017 prior to the service from 4:00 PM until the time of service 6:00 PM. A Graveside service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Troupe Family Cemetery, 442 Broxton Highway, Fitzgerald, GA, 31750.
