Maria C. Vieira, 62 of Taunton, passed away on May 29, 2017 at Tufts Medical Center after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family.
Maria was born in Terceira, Azores a daughter of the late Francisco N. and Maria (Dias) Vieira.
Before retirement, Maria was employed with Sensata of Attleboro, formerly Texas Instruments as a Quality Control inspector for over 39 years.
Maria was a 1974 graduate of Taunton High and member of the Holy Ghost of East Taunton. Miss Vieira enjoyed photography, traveling and dining out with her best friend Maria Andre. She will be remembered for her quick wit and as a loving and caring person.
She was the loving sister of Francisco A. Vieira and wife Maria of Taunton, she also leaves a niece Michelle Lacerda and her husband Ruben and a nephew Eric Vieira. Maria was also the great aunt of Tyler and Trevor whom she adored dearly, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Maria’s funeral will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 9 am from the Silva funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) in Taunton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Anthony Church, School St, Taunton.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 1st from 5 to 8 pm in the Silva Funeral Home.
