Helen (Pappas) Michael, age 94, of Stoughton, formerly of Taunton passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Blue Hills Alzheimer’s Care Center in Stoughton. She was the beloved wife of forty-five years to the late Theodore Michael.
Born in Brockton, MA on November 20, 1922, she was loving daughter of the late George and Bessie (Tjouanis) Pappas.
Helen grew up in Brockton and was a 1941 graduate of Brockton High School. She could best be described as a people person who was committed to her family, friends and faith as a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, in Taunton, since 1960.
She is survived by her devoted children Milton Michael and his wife Diane of Dighton, Beth Gildersleeve and her husband Steven of Stoughton and Kathy Murphy of Fall River. She was dear sister of Ann Yaitanes of Brockton and the late Michael Pappas, Ambrose Pappas, Ethel Tsetas, Sophie Argrew, Andrew Pappas, Mary Young and Viola Pappas. She is also survived by her adoring 13 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend services at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2 Vaillancourt St., Taunton on a day and time to be announced.
