Sharon Elaine Mackey, age 62, died at her home near Water Valley, MS on May 23, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born June 12, 1954 in Lubbock, TX to the late Sonny Owens and Barbara Jean Crabb Owens and enjoyed being a wonderful homemaker and a servant of the Lord in all she did. She was a quilter, seamstress, and scrap booker, which allowed her to make treasured memories for her family and friends. Sharon was a member of Cornerstone Full Gospel Church of Water Valley, MS.
A visitation is planned for Friday, May 26, 2017 from 1:30 until 3:00 PM at Cornerstone Full Gospel Church in Water Valley. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 PM with Bro. R. W. Moffett and Deona Benson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery with Robert Mackey, Bryan Mackey, Caleb Owen, Trevor McPeak, Christopher Hays, and Kelton Stacks serving as pallbearers.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Mackey of Water Valley, MS; two daughters, Shana Kaye Mackey and Stephanie Renee Mackey, both of Water Valley, MS; two sons, Robert Bryan Mackey (Aleisha) of Batesville, MS and Jonathan Caleb Owen (Alicia) of Water Valley, MS; a sister, Tonya Jester of Austin, TX; a brother, Michael Owens of Bonham, TX; sixteen grandchildren, Kelton, Austin, Makayla, Trevor, Travis, Kiersten, Haley, Alliyah, Heather, Christopher, Katie, Devin, Caylie, Aliyah, Kaelynn, and Nathan; and four great grandchildren, Ethan, Aubrey, Elizabeth, and Emma.
