Scott Richard Maranda 51, of East St. died May 22, 2017 at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Renee (Lapierre) Maranda. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Lucien and Leona (Pleau) Maranda. Scott worked as a glazier for Thermal Seal Insulating Glass Co. for twenty seven years. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and racing slot cars. Scott was an avid Bruins and Patriots fan.
Besides his wife he leaves a daughter Marina Maranda of Cumberland, three brothers Ted Maranda and David Chase both of Woonsocket, and Jimmy Chase of FL, four sisters Linda Cournoyer of CT, Theresa Nault and Donna Chase both of FL, and Sheila Woodman of IA, and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Bill Chase.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket followed by burial in St. James Cemetery in Manville. Visiting Hours are Friday 6-8 PM.
