DUDLEY – Wayne R. Richard, Sr., 62, died Sunday, May 21, 2017 in UMass/Memorial University Hospital after a long illness.
He leaves 5 sons, Michael W. Richard, Sr. of Oxford, Wayne R. Richard, Jr. and his wife Susan of Dudley, James A. Richard and his wife Sharon of Spencer, Stephen W. Richard of Dudley, and Brian P. Richard and his wife Nicole of Northborough; 15 grandchildren; 2 great-granddaughters; a brother, David E. Richard of West Palm Beach, FL; 2 sisters, Kathleen L. Dunn of Putnam, CT and Margaret A. Kane of Dudley; several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Wesley W. Richard and William H. Richard.
He was born in Putnam, CT and raised in Webster and Dudley, a son of William H. “Sonny” Richard and Claire M. (Reil) Richard.
Mr. Richard worked as a handyman for various local firms as well as independently. He enjoyed driving and admiring classic cars.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday, May 30, in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster.
