Graca Jesus Madeira, 57, of Dartmouth died Saturday May 13, 2017 suddenly at home.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, the daughter of the late Jose Madeira and Maria DosAnjos Carreiro, she had lived in the New Bedford area since 1981.
Graca was happiest when spending time with her children. She also enjoyed visiting her cousins, Lucy and Natasha.
She is survived by two sons, Isaac P. DeMedeiros of New Bedford and Joshwell D. DeMedeiros of Dartmouth; her former husband, Charles J. Adriano of Dartmouth; three sisters, Vitalia Madeira, Maria DosAnjos Madeira, and Zulmira Madeira, all of St. Michael, Azores; and a niece, Honorina Carreiro of Dartmouth.
Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday May 24, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 230 Bonney St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven.
