Mrs. Rose M. "Rosie" (DeFilippo) Babcock, 75, of Methuen passed peacefully on May 18th 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of Antonio and Antoinetta (Dinuccio) DeFilippo she was born on October 25th 1941. Mrs. Babcock was raised in Everett, and was a graduate of Everett High School. She moved to the Merrimack Valley where she had been an area resident for the past 25 years. Mrs. Babcock loved to spend time with her family, she took great pride in all their accomplishments, big and small. Everything about her family brought her joy. Mrs. Babcock was pre-deceased by her daughter Anne Marie McNeill. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years Robert Babcock of Methuen. One son; Walter Babcock and his wife Ellen of Wilmington, one daughter; Darlene Babcock of Dracut. Four grandchildren Chelsie Babcock, Christopher Babcock, Sara Babcock, and Nathan O’Brien, one brother; Guy DeFilippo of Everett, one sister; Mary D’Angelo of Revere. One nephew; Fred D’Angelo Jr., four nieces; Terry Pike, Annette Pascuccio, Rachel DeFilippo and Renee DeFilippo. There are many grand nieces and grand nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass that will be celebrated on Saturday, May 20th, 2017 at St. Francis Church in Dracut at 9:00 am. Burial will be private.
