Obituary

Mr. Daniel J. DeChristoforo, a longtime resident of Medford and beloved husband of Emma G. (Kemper) passed away at the Courtyard Nursing Center in Medford on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. He was 87 years old.

Born in Charlestown on August 2, 1929, he was the beloved son of the late Donato and Maddalena (Pizzillo) DeChristoforo. Daniel was a Korean Air Force Veteran, entering the military at Ft. Banks on February 8, 1949 and received his honorable discharge from Lockport, New York on October 8, 1952. In civilian life, Mr. DeChristoforo worked and retired from U.S. Department of Transportation he enjoyed art, classical music and acrylic painting. He also was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church of Medford. He will be dearly missed.

Besides his loving wife, Emma, he is survived by his daughters; Gesina M. and her husband Robert Hezlitt of Batavia, New York, Helen G. Labus of Arlington, Texas and Rose A. Francavilla of Stoneham and grandchildren; Douglas, Michelle, Nicole, Lilly and Cole.

Funeral services were privately held. Arrangements were entrusted to the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home of Medford.
