SOMERSET… Stella L. (Zdabosz) Iwanski, 91, of Somerset passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
She was the widow of Eugene Iwanski.
Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Ludwika (Drewniak) Zdabosz.
Mrs. Iwanski was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Church, Fall River where she was active in the St. Stan’s Seniors. Throughout her life, she had worked at Firestone, the R.C.A. Service Center and most recently as an Accounting Clerk for Bristol Community College. She enjoyed knitting, needlework, traveling and loved reading mystery and crime novels.
Survivors include her son, Thomas Iwanski and his wife Maureen of Tiverton, her loving grandchildren, Stephen Iwanski and his wife Sarah of Greenwood, MS and Daniel Iwanski of Newport RI, and great grandson, Nathaniel Iwanski, her sister, Joanna Para of RI, several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Catherine Pikul and Adele Wisniewski.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday at 9:30 AM from the Boyko Memorial Funeral Home, 709 Broadway Fall River, MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Stanislaus, 37 Rockland St. Fall River. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Saturday from 8:30 - 9:30 AM, prior to the service. www.BoykoMemorial.com
