Obituary

Maureen C. Thomas, age 75, devoted mother of Deanna Thomas of Boston died at home after a long illness on May 14, 2017. Maureen was born in Natick to the late James M. and Josephine (Guidi) Thomas.

She was educated at St. Patrick School and attended Natick High School. Her family relocated from Natick to Springfield and Maureen completed her studies graduating from Cathedral High School in Springfield. She spent the ensuing years in the Springfield, Longmeadow area and became a well-known dealer in antiques. In addition to her interest in antiques, Maureen was fond of reading and writing poetry, was a Member of the Literacy Group, the Springfield School Volunteers, and Chapter I Association. She was a person who possessed a generous heart and a great love and appreciation of family. Along with her daughter she leaves a brother William F. Thomas and his wife Patricia of Sherborn, several cousins and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother James L. Thomas of Bellingham.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 20th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Patrick Church Natick. Visitation on Saturday beginning at 9:00 A.M. in the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common prior to the Mass.
