Obituary


Tyler J. Cheney age 22 of West Bridgewater, formerly of Brockton, died Saturday May 13, 2017 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was the loving son of Beth (Bredesen) Cheney of Holbrook and Peter A. Cheney of W. Bridgewater. He was born and raised in Brockton and had lived in W. Bridgewater for the past 5 years.

Tyler had been a caretaker at Calvary Cemetery in Brockton for the past 6 years and previously worked at CDP Fasteners.

In his free time, Tyler enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, and playing disc golf. He was also a huge Boston sports fan and loved his pets Remy and Izzy.

Tyler will be remembered as a friend with a big heart and always willing to lend a helping hand. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and his smile would light up a room.

In addition to his parents, Tyler is survived by his brother Peter Cheney, Jr. of W. Bridgewater, his grandmother Linda Cheney of Middleboro and his late grandparents James Cheney, Diane and Richard McLaughlin and Karl Bredesen. He also leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton on Thursday 4-8pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 10am. Burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Donations in Tyler’s name may be made to the Calvary Cemetery Charity Fund c/o St. Patrick Church, 335 Main St., Brockton, MA 02301.
