Obituary

Mrs. Patricia Harriet (Hare) Spinney, a lifelong resident of Medford and beloved wife of the late James T. Spinney, passed away at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford on Saturday afternoon, May 13, 2017 surrounded by family. She was 77 years old.
Born in Medford, Massachusetts, on August 17, 1939, she was the beloved daughter of the late Newell and Evangeline (Gaudet) Hare. Pat, along with her husband Jim, operated Glenwood Ceramics  and taught generations for many years in Medford out of their home studio.  Besides her passion for teaching ceramics, she enjoyed summers at Pine Acres and then later being at her cottage in New Hampshire. Pat also enjoyed dancing as a member of the Baldwin Apples with her dear friend Mike. Patricia also had been employed by the J. J. Ruddy Insurance company in Medford for more than 15 years. Above all, she loved spending quality time with her family. She will be dearly missed.
She was the beloved mother of Jan Hunt of Hampton, New Hampshire, Lori Spinney-Flagg and her husband John Flagg of Medford and Karen Spinney-Williams and her husband Gary Williams of Medford, siblings; Frank Hare of Medford and Newella Hare of Lynnfield, grandchildren; Kimberley Hunt, Robin Hunt, James Williams, Dana Williams and Patrick Flagg and many nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral will be held from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be held in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
