Obituary

Richard Andrew Casey, 61, of Franklin, died May 14 in the comfort of his home following a long illness. He leaves behind his loving wife Karen E. (Johnson) Casey.

Born in Boston, December 6, 1955, the son of the late Eddy J. and Louise (Coffin) Casey, Mr. Casey was raised in Millis and had lived with his wife in Franklin for the past 31 years.

Richard had been in construction and worked as an iron worker for Union Local 7 for several years before retiring.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, golfing and fishing.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his step children Sharon Palumbo, her husband Wayne and their daughter Evelyn of Whitinsville and Christopher Melloni of Franklin.

He is also survived by his daughters Jennifer Casey of Franklin and her children Quentin and Ophelia and Alicia Casey of Franklin and her son Hunter.

He was the brother of the late Gary and Myrna Casey.

He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial celebration will be held on Tuesday, May 23 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin from 10:00-1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
