TIVERTON… William Ernest Copeland, Jr., 79, of Tiverton passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 at St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River following a prolonged illness.
He was the husband of Laudalina (Camara) Copeland of Tiverton.
Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late William E. Sr. and Rose D. (Jesseaume) Copeland.
Mr. Copeland worked as a Truck Driver and Mechanic at various trucking companies throughout his life. He was a communicant of Holy Ghost Church in Tiverton and enjoyed flying remote controlled airplanes and working hot rods and antique cars.
Along with his wife, survivors include his son, Christopher Copeland of Orting, WA, his daughters; Karen Copeland of SC, Lori Lessier and Daylene Copeland, both of Fall River, 2 brothers; Harold Copeland of Peoria, AZ and Michael Copeland of MA, 2 sisters; Lorraine Collino of CA and Dorothy Pontes of Fall River, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was father of the late David Copeland and brother of the late Theresa Medeiros, Roland, Richard, and Donald Copeland.
At the request of the family, services will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, MA 02723.
