Sandra "Jenell" Bush Doss, 74, of Tifton passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017, at her residence. She spent half of Mother’s Day with her daughter here on earth and the other half of Mother’s Day with her son in Heaven. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Kelltown with the Rev. Kevin Harris officiating. Samuel Hussey will offer a eulogy. Mrs. Doss will be laid to rest at Omega Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Earl Griffin, John Bush, Lee Bush, Jeff Bush, Brad Mosher and Tallie Baldree will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Kelltown.
Born January 31, 1943 in Colquitt County, Mrs. Doss was the daughter of the late John Early Bush and Ruby Lavada Willis Bush. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Jackson “Jack” Doss, Jr., who passed away in 2014; and a son, Michael Jackson Doss. She was an enrolled agent, senior accountant and partner at Doss and Tawzer Accounting, P. C. in Tifton. She was a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, the National Society of Accountants, and Accreditation Council for Accountancy and Taxation and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Kelltown.
Mrs. Doss is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Dana Doss Tawzer and husband, Donald L. Tawzer, Jr. of Tifton; a daughter-in-law, Iris Doss Sears of Tifton; one brother and sister-in-law, Jesse Norman and Betty Bush of Lake Park; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Shelby Jean and Tommy Griffin of Omega and Linda Lee and Wayne Archer of Bunnell, Florida; two grandchildren, Trenton Michael Doss and Megan Elizabeth Tawzer; one aunt, Irma Bush Norman; 14 nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
