Obituary

Richard E. Choquette, Jr., 48, of New Bedford died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday May 10, 2017. He was the husband of Lori-Ann (Gebo) Choquette.
Born in New Bedford, the son of Richard E. and Shirley (Cavanaugh) Choquette, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Richard was a self-employed plumber.
He was an avid New England Patriots fan and had coached N.B.Y.S.A. soccer for seven years. He enjoyed playing cribbage, family cookouts, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by two children, Chelsy Choquette and Nicholas Choquette; two sisters, Sheryl Teves and her husband Tiago, and Sherry Choquette; his best friend and cousin, Stephen DaSilva; his beloved dog, Bentley; his beloved cat, Maxwell; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his yellow Lab, Hunter.
His Funeral will be held on Tuesday May 16, 2017 at 8 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by his Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 9 AM.
