TEWKSBURY - Lawrence Donald “Larry” Dover, age 63, died peacefully at his Lowell residence on Tuesday, May 9, after a courageous twenty-three year battle with diabetes.
He was born in Bollendorf, Germany in January 1954, a son of Leonie (Rausch) Dover of Tewksbury, and the late Donald L. Dover. He was raised in Tewksbury, and was a member of Tewksbury Memorial High School’s Class of 1972. Larry worked as a finish carpenter installing cabinetry and woodworking in residential and commercial projects during the twenty years he resided in Florida. He returned to Tewksbury for family support for his health issues twelve years ago.
Larry will be remembered for his love of life, cars, and women. He also had much love and devotion for his family. Besides his mother, he leaves a sister, Isabelle “Kinty” Germann and her husband Joseph of Chelmsford; two brothers, Robert Dover and his wife Margaret (Graves) of Lowell, and Donald N. Dover of Tewksbury; and five nieces and nephews, Tracy Germann, Jodi Germann, Robert Dover, Nicholas Landry, and Nathan Landry and his wife Lauren-Ashley (Higson). Larry was predeceased by his sister, Linda "Nize" Landry, in 2014.
Memorial visiting hours will be held Monday, May 15, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38), Tewksbury, MA, Ph. (978) 851-2950. A memorial prayer service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
