Obituary

Emma Mae Taylor, 86, of Ojai, passed away early on Wednesday morning, May 3, 2017.
Emma was born on October 19, 1930 in Ojai and was a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Nordhoff High School, class of 1948. She attended the University of California at Santa Barbara. She enjoyed sewing and reading. When she was younger, she enjoyed bicycle riding, especially on the Ojai Trail, fitness programs, swimming, and staying in shape.
Emma is survived by her son, Gregory E. Fancher, of Ojai; her sister, Mary Lou Wingate; her grandchildren, Hayden and Quinton Fancher; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Robert M. Taylor; her parents, John and Bernice Woolwine; her sister, Helen Wambsgane; and her brother; J.D. Woolwine.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, 411 San Antonio Street at the corner of Bristol Street and Ojai Avenue, Ojai, CA. Burial will be at Nordhoff Cemetery, Ojai.
Mrs. Taylor was entrusted to the care of the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura.
