Laconia-----Harriet Mindy Corbin, 70, of Lindsay Court died Monday, May 8, 2017 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Harriet was born June 1, 1946 in Laconia, NH daughter of Leslie M. Lane Jr. and Elaine Gertrude (Robinson) Lane. She worked as a Licensed Nursing Assistant for over 40 years working at McKerkly's which later became Laconia Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and Lakes Region General Hospital. Harriet also later owned and operated Hattie K's Thrift Store for a number of years in downtown Laconia.
Harriet enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, the Ocean and a good cup of coffee. She was a kind, loving and giving woman and would do anything to help anyone. Above all spending time with her grandchildren was most important. They were the light of her life.
Harriet will be greatly missed by many.
Harriet is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, William H. Corbin; her son, Michael John Corbin and his wife, Lisa Marie of Erial, NJ; her daughter, Michelle Lynne Lamot and her husband, David of Gilford; 8 grandchildren, Aaron, Zachary, Michael, Ashley, Emily, James, William and Elliot; 3 great-grandchildren; a brother, Michael Lane of Johnson, VT; 4 sisters, Melonie Bell and her husband, Warren of Northfield, Donna Theirault and her husband, Robert of Franklin, Kathy Pirso and her husband, Peter of Epsom and Susan Benjamin and her husband, Michael Chadwick, of Johnson, VT and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 2:00-4:00pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH using the Carriage House entrance.
Following the calling hours a funeral service will be held at 4:00pm Friday, May 12, 2017 also at the funeral home.
