Woonsocket – Patricia A. Levesque, 78, of Woonsocket died Friday May 5, 2017 at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph L. R Levesque. They were married on May 22, 1959 and shared 53 years together until his passing in 2012.
Born in Providence she was a daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Dufresne) Tyler. She was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mrs. Levesque worked at Colby Glass Company in her earlier years and was employed at Miller Electric and Carol Cable for over 25 years before retiring.
Patricia enjoyed crocheting and dining out. She was a voracious reader and could often be found engrossed in a mystery book or love story.
Patricia will be remembered as a very kind person. She was a loving and devoted mother and cherished her role and a grandmother and great grandmother.
She survived by a daughter Joan Howard of Kansas City, Missouri and four sons David Levesque of Woonsocket, Russel Davis and his husband Richard Davis of Johnston, Ronald Levesque of Woonsocket and Marc Levesque of North Kingstown. She was the sister of Rina Tyler and the late Kathleen Gregoire. She is also survived by her granddaughters Kristen and Lana and great-grandsons LaRonn and Vernon.
Her funeral service will be Wednesday at 10:00am in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter. Visiting hours are Wednesday morning from 9:00-10:00 am prior to services.
