Betty Sue Marchant
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, May 8, 2017, Mrs. Betty Sue Johnson Marchant, 87, loving wife of 50 years to the late Elton W. Marchant.
Mrs. Marchant was a lifelong resident of Augusta. She retired from Ft. Gordon as materials manager after 29 years.
Family members include her daughters: Susan Lanford, Angela Johnson, Elizabeth Mack (William), Patti Massingale (Walter); nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, Scoven and Nellie Johnson, daughter, Cynthia, one brother and two sisters.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 106 SRP Dr., Suite A, Evans, GA 30809.
