Julia E. Morales, age 94, of Taunton, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at home, on Sunday, May 7, 2017.
Born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico on April 20, 1023, she grew up and was educated in Puerto Rico and moved to Taunton in 1964.
Julia was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Taunton. She treasured the times spent with family, and loved, cooking, singing, dancing, sewing, and animals but most of all, she enjoyed having fun.
She is survived by her devoted and loving children Jose F. Perez and his wife Jenny of New York, Rosa J. Perez-Cortes and her husband Jose of Taunton, Carmen L. Perez-Suarez of New York and the late William D. Perez. She was predeceased by 2 brothers and 6 sisters, and is also survived by many adoring grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Her funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Thursday, May 11th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 14 St. Mary’s Square, Taunton. Burial will follow at Mayflower Hill Cemetery in Taunton.
Visiting hours will be held at the Taunton Funeral Home, 8 Crapo St. (Off Route 140, Tremont St.) Taunton on Wednesday, May 10th from 5:00-8:00 P.M.
