New Bedford – Antonio D. Salgado, age 83, of New Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2017 at Sacred Heart Home. He was the husband of the late Maria Fatima Salgado and was the son of the late Maria dasDores (Sousa) and Antonio Sousa Salgado.
Mr. Salgado was born in Pico, Azores. He lived most of his life here and was a Line Worker for Mickey Madan and also worked at Silver City Ford.
He is survived by his son: Antone Salgado and his wife Debora, his daughter Jeanna Salgado-Melo and her husband James, a brother Horacio Salgado and a sister Maria Lourdes Salgado; 4 grandchildren: T.J., Tahlia, Camron, and Sophia as well as nieces and nephews.
His visiting hours will be Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to take place at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 12:00 P.M. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Arrangements are placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, MA 02740.
